Last August, as summer break was quickly coming to an end, my husband’s parents came to visit us for a couple weeks. We don’t have any family near us, so we took this visit as an opportunity to leave the kids with their grandparents and take a quick, kid-free road trip to Niagara Falls, Canada.
The Falls are absolutely amazing; breathtakingly beautiful; magical; MASSIVE! This was a very touristy experience — I would have rather taken an hour-long hike in the woods to see something half as beautiful over fighting massive crowds and standing in long lines to get the best view. But I’m happy I can now list this as something I’ve done. My favorite part was the “Journey Behind the Falls” where we took an elevator (NOT my favorite part — I don’t like elevators) down 150 feet and walked out onto the observation deck at the foot of the Falls. It was truly amazing.
