I’m pretty much caught up with blogging about the photo sessions I have done since I moved to Michigan — I still have a few random sessions that I haven’t posted about, but I now have my first official photo session of 2017 to share with you today! I’m trying not to feel bad about the fact that it’s already June and this is my first session of the year. Winter, of course, is a slow season because it’s so cold. Then Spring is BUSY! I don’t mean busy with photography; busy with personal stuff. As a mom to three kids and a host mom to a foreign exchange student, the end of school year activities build up fast and the days fly by. Suddenly it’s SUMMER TIME!!! I have great mixed emotions about this summer though. I’m excited about the kids being home and enjoying the warm weather, but this is also our last week with our exchange student. She will fly back to South Korea this Sunday. I can’t believe 10 months have already come and gone! Anyway… I’ll post more about that later!
If you keep up with my work, you might recognize this family. This is the third time I’ve had the pleasure to photograph them. I love when I get to see kids grow up in front of my lens. It’s mind-boggling how fast it happens! In my last session with the Fytczyk family, Reid had just turned one year old! Now here we are, a whole year later, and she is just as active and faster than ever! (Seriously, I probably should have worn my running shoes instead of flip-flops.) She loves sticks, mimics every word she hears, and jibber-jabbers at least 100 more words per minute. And her curls… oh my goodness, her curls are almost too cute to handle!
