The 8th annual Karma Yoga Fest has come and gone! It was my 3rd year photographing this wonderful event and it was as splendid as ever. This year The Collective has opened another location called “The River Collective” (because it’s on a river) and it was the perfect place for the yoga fest! Like every year, they started the day off with a 5K fun run, then on to 108 Sun Salutations, yoga, meditation, aerial yoga, SUP+yoga, slack line, acro and aerial yoga demos, massage, music, art… I might be missing something but I think you get the picture. It was loads of fun! I’m so grateful that I have had the opportunity to photograph this event for 3 years now! I love everything about it!
Each year, all the proceeds from this event go to local, non-profit organizations. This year’s event donated to the following:
- I Am the Greatest (art programs for at-risk kids)
- B.E.Y.O.U. (Empowerment for Benton Harbor youth through programs – including free yoga and food – in Hall Park)
- And sponsoring free yoga classes for veterans through the V.A.
